One of the most compelling aspects of PsyQS program is its international character. Being able to study alongside students from diverse cultural backgrounds provides a supportive community, especially crucial for those like myself who are non-native speakers of French. The courses, all taught in English, were exceptionally well-designed, allowing me to seamlessly transition from a background in Medical Physics to the intricate realms of Condensed Matter Physics.
What truly sets this program apart is its comprehensive curriculum. I found the diversity of courses particularly stimulating, encompassing both advanced theoretical quantum and interdisciplinary soft matter topics.
Moreover, I cannot speak highly enough of the professors who not only delivered engaging lectures but also actively supported students in charting their professional paths. Their willingness to talk about our scientific interests and their helpfulness in finding internships show how dedicated the program is to supporting future scientists.
Speaking of internships, the opportunity to undertake a half-year internship was undoubtedly a highlight of the program. With a wide array of topics to choose from, ranging across various fields of physics, the internship served as a platform to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. In my case, this internship proved to be a transformative experience as it led to a PhD project within the same BioDyn group, further solidifying my passion for research in Ultrafast Spectroscopy.
In essence, the Master’s Program in Physics of Quantum and Soft Condensed Matter offers an education and a life-changing journey brimming with intellectual growth, cultural exchange, and boundless opportunities.
